1.Overview
If you've forgotten your password or need to update your password credentials for security hardening, Meelance offers a quick password recovery process.
To prevent unauthorized password reset hijackings, we apply dynamic verification codes sent exclusively to your registered recovery channels.
2.Requirements
Before triggering a password recovery request, ensure you have:
- ✓Account Email — Access to the primary email address linked to your profile.
- ✓Linked Device — A mobile device ready to receive SMS if 2FA is active on your profile.
3.Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to the Meelance Login page and click Forgot Password?.
- Enter your registered email address in the recovery field and click Send Recovery Code.
- Open your email inbox and copy the 6-digit confirmation code.
- Return to the reset screen, paste the code, and enter your new password.
- Confirm the changes and log back into your dashboard using your updated credentials.
4.Important Notes
Your password must be at least 10 characters long and contain a mix of uppercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using phrases or passwords shared on other platforms.
5.Troubleshooting
Recovery Code Expired
Recovery codes are valid for exactly 10 minutes. If your code expires, return to step 1 and request a new password recovery sequence.
Account Locked Out
If you make 5 consecutive invalid reset attempts, your account will be temporarily locked for 30 minutes to safeguard profile data. Try resetting again after the lockout timer resolves.
