1.Overview

Keeping your account secure is our highest priority. Recognizing suspicious activity early helps you protect your professional data, portfolio files, and communication feeds from security compromises.

We log device configurations, locations, and browser strings upon each login attempt. If we detect unusual connection patterns, we will restrict account privileges temporarily and prompt verification steps.

2.Checklist of Threat Patterns

Monitor your account for these common signals indicating potential security threats:

  • Unrecognized Logins — Receive email notifications of sign-ins from unrecognized locations or device models.
  • Profile Alterations — Unscheduled updates to email records, billing addresses, or payment parameters.
  • Unsolicited Messages — Applications, invitations, or inbox messages sent to talent without your direction.

3.How to Secure Your Account

If you suspect unauthorized access or have identified potential security threats, act immediately:

  1. Navigate to your profile and openAccount Settings.
  2. Go to the Security & Sign in tab and review theActive Sessions list.
  3. If you detect any entry that isn't yours, clickRevoke Access to immediately log out that device.
  4. Change your password instantly, making sure to create a complex combination.
  5. Review your security details. Make sure your recovery phone number and backup email parameters remain unchanged.

4.Important Notes

!
Social Engineering Warning

Meelance support agents will never ask you to share passwords, email tokens, or 2FA codes. If you receive messages asking for these security parameters, report them to us immediately.

5.Troubleshooting

Unrecognized Login Location (Same Country)

Frequently, your internet service provider (ISP) routes traffic through virtual servers located in adjacent cities or regions. If the device matches yours and the timestamp aligns with your login, it is typically safe. However, check if you were using a VPN during the connection.

Account Under Isolation Lock

If Meelance detects automated credential checks, we will place an isolation lock on your profile. You must clear a photo ID verification or verification email link to remove this restriction.

6.Frequently Asked Questions

If you cannot access your profile, go to the Meelance login screen, select "Reset Password," and input your email. If your email was changed by an attacker, submit an urgent recovery ticket on our Contact Support page.
Forward copy headers of any suspicious emails claiming to be from Meelance to help@meelance.com, or use the "Report" button on chat items inside the app.
