1.Overview

Meelance respect member privacy completely. We provide control sets allowing you to tailor who views your creative credentials, resumes, portfolios, and contact information.

By adjusting your privacy parameters, you can customize your search profile index settings to block search engines or restrict profile traffic exclusively to approved recruiters.

2.Requirements

To access full privacy configurations, you must meet the following parameter:

  • Verified Account — A verified active account status (restrictions might exist during waitlist onboarding).

3.Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click your profile thumbnail in the main menu and openAccount Settings.
  2. Select the Privacy & Settings panel.
  3. Configure your Profile Visibility preference:
    • Public — Accessible to everyone, including search engines.
    • Members-Only — Visible exclusively to registered Meelance users.
    • Recruiters-Only — Visible only to verified recruiter accounts.
  4. Toggle the Search Engine Indexing switch to "Off" if you want to prevent your profile from listing on external search results.
  5. Adjust contact permissions to choose who can invite you to casting events or send chat requests. ClickSave Preferences.

4.Important Notes

!
Recruiters-Only Discovery

Setting your visibility to Recruiters-Only blocks other talent and collaborators from locating you for creative network opportunities. Direct links shared by you will still function.

5.Troubleshooting

Profile Still Appearing on Google Search

If you disabled search engine indexing but your profile is still visible on search tools:

  • Search engines cache page metadata for days or weeks. Once disabled, Meelance serves a "noindex" tag, which prompts search engines to remove the link during their next crawl cycle.
  • Check if you have shared public portfolio links on social networks that bypass profile privacy.

6.Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, by visiting another member's or recruiter's profile page, clicking the "..." menu, and selecting "Block," they will be barred from viewing your profile, sending messages, or seeing your applications.
Absolutely. Your application details, resume submissions, and auditions are shared exclusively with the recruiting contacts managing that specific job posting. Other companies or members cannot view your applications.
